A very very long time ago, I stumbled into my local comic shop to spend some of my hard-saved money. This particular comic shop was one of the only ones in the area I lived at the time, and had a side hustle getting in role play game supplements and modules. I would regularly head there to update my growing collection of Role Master modules. One day though, something on the shelf near the doorway caught my eye.

In the spirit of a # TODO in your source code, these are the things that I’ve set myself up to completely forget to do complete by the end of 2023. Will see you back here in a year to see how I did! Write A Game Like many developers, gaming was my gateway into programming and computers. Although I wrote a few smaller games a long time ago for the Commodore 64, it’s been a long time since I’ve done anything other than start up writing a game, only to be distracted by building a game engine instead, then getting bored and forgetting about it.

WARNING Some spoilers in the rant ahead. If you don’t want to know anything about Doctor Who, what are you reading this for anyway? Over the last 6 or 7 months, I’ve been spending some quality time with the older two Grumpy Metal Kids watching (and for me, re-watching) Doctor Who. Over the years, we have chosen a series of some sort to work our way through, watching an episode before bed, after chores and various forms of bodily cleansing are complete.
